While that has been going on, the attention to details like this website, my blog, our Facebook page, our corporate logo, labels, and other "public" aspects has been more of an afterthought. I hope to correct this shortly, but the brewery is moving forward.
The biggest question I get is "when will you be a brewery?" This is a very difficult question to answer. My recent focus has been primarily on the business end, which includes the required applications/permits/licenses/etc. While the beer is never an afterthought, it has become a secondary focus for the time being. We are brewing and developing new recipes, but our production is still limited.
The business end is coming together, and I am excited to inform everyone that our business plan is now in the works. In the preparation of the business plan, I will be identifying all the legal regulations that are applicable. This will include all the applications and permits we need to file, and the licenses we need to obtain. We will also be developing a timeline for the brewery.
As i want to seethe success of Painted Sheep Brewery, I am placing a high emphasis on the business end. With proper planning and a thorough understanding of the business, we should be in a good place to succeed.
But in order to succeed, we need to produce beer, but not only beer, but really really good beer that is sought after by the target market for each offering. We have a very strong commitment to the beer, and are evolving a truly innovative approach to our offerings. With the number of small craft and start-up breweries that are out there, I cannot guarantee that no one else is doing what I plan on doing. BUT I have not seen any other brewery with this approach. What is this approach? You are going to have to wait for another blog......
